Just like the title states. For some reason i got up one morning and turned on the car and bam, code 25 i think, IAC circuit comes on....Okay i just changed the IAC motor like 3 weeks ago. The light goes off as im making my way down the street, i hop on the highway, and at 80 mph exactly and at 3k rpms exactly my car always has been missfiring at 3k for a while and getting no power, so then another light comes on, random missfire all cylinders, this happens everday for me at the same part of the highway and at 80 mph...So i said whatever and just got to work. Light goes off as i pull in the spot. Come out after work and start the car, and let it idle, all the sudden my fricken EGR valve light code comes on?? (I have pcm codes in glovebox)

All things aside, my car idles like total crap, and on the highway, i can't even get above 4K rpms in 4th gear, and if i want to, it takes like 30 seconds to get from 4k rpms, to 5k rpms in 4th. i guess it don't have power or something???

EGR valve was already cleaned weeks ago
IAC was replaced 3 weeks ago
Idk where to start with the random misfire.
Crank Pos. sensor Replaced (that light came on also)

Notes: Car is super jerky in like 1st gear going 5mph if i try to hit the gas it will jerk back and forth (like im hitting the brake every second) it throws me forward. Bucks and jerks :(

shows -10 on my vacuum gauge. i thot it should be 15.

Sputter on decelleration

The car has no or little power past 3k rpms

Missfires at 3k rpms really bad

Tested my coilpack and it didnt pass the impedance test but was very close. so im assuming its not that.

What to check guys?!?!?

Is there any software i can get with my laptop and OBD2 cable to montior things like a scanner?

How can i tell if my pcm is in safe mode?
 
By the sounds of it, all or most of your driveability issues are coming from ignition. If your coilpack failed the test, then it failed.

I would start by replacing that and going from there.

Check a few other obvious things like fuel pressure and make shure your plugs are not extremly fouled. But with the random misfire code the first thing it points to is that coil messing up.

How many miles you got on your coil? Is it OEM?
 
yes the coil has 180,000..everythings 180,000 except the new bolt-ons and the pistons, rods, valves, springs, etc.

another strange thing that throws me away from comperssion or fuel is that at first start my car will idle like a winner, but every 10 seconds into the idle it will jsut started chugging..but it chuggs at the same idle speed as it was doing so perfectly when started??? what can make the sound of the idle change like that 10 seconds in. (note, idle rpms do not change, just starts sounding crapp at same rpm)

Also smell of unburnt fuel after hard pulls.
 
Check the wires around the egr tube. Common problem for our cars. Could be some cooked/cracked wires in there.

I think your best bet is to do a visual on your plugs, wires, and coil. Including retesting that coil.

If the coil comes up bad again i would start with a full blown tune up. Plugs, wires and a coil.

Altho it sounds as tho you may have more than one problem. But start with what ya know.
 
i do know that my plugs and wires are brand new, and i have like tons of new ngk plugs all voer from previous car projects taht werent used. The wires i have are MSD, and NGK, Accel's, and random duralast crap. Ive tested all of them and none seem to work. Im just wondering why my car idles perfect then chuggs at the same rpm. Its got to be a sensor or the coil pack right?? But im buyin a new coil today and if that doesn't work i will take it back. Then i will buy a CAS, and map sensor, and 02 sensors and start from there.

bad gas mileage, missfire..symptoms of 02 sensor also..

but would that cause hesitation at 3k rpms mostly? idk :(
 
i know the firing order TYVM...:) lemme get this coil after work and if problem solved ill be finally turboing my 420yaaayy

where u at in G-RAP bluefire?? I live down by 3-mile and walker.
 
LOL i work off of the lowell exit, ada is like 10 mins, cool, tell me when those meets are and ill show up. anyway, the coilpack didnt work :( now im off to another sensor buying spree. i hate doing that.

FINE MEANY. Lol. ok i just bought my map sensor, 02 sensors, and CAS. if it dont work, ill kick it and try again next week.
 
Sounds like you're on the right track, as bullet suggested I would check intermittent wiring first around the entire wiring loom including under the egr harness. (Visual inspection of the wires for cooked/melted/ect wires within the harness) To have random codes one day, then different the next is either wiring problem or a PCM issue. Inspect your wiring first then verify the sensors are getting/receiving the correct voltages. Also, using the ohm option for continuity on each end of the wires with a DVM would be ideal. Try the new sensors (compare them with the old); if you're wires have proper resistances and voltages match the input/output spec., then look at the PCM as the problem as GsxEcutioner recommended.
