ignition harness the same?

well i got an hks turbo timer and was woundering if its worth buying the harness for it? it says 95-97 thats it im assuming its for the turbo 4g63 but our all the cars the same?

i just barely got a tt also with a harness, and was wondering if i take off my steering wheel and steering column to hook it up? also, if i want it in my middle console, can i cut and solder the wires to make them longer and would it still work with the added resistance? i dont mean to take over the thread but i have kinda the same question.

You can extend the wires... the added resistance will be negligible.
