Ok so yeah yeah I know it's not smart, but I had been waiting for months and had no good power tools on hand.

We broke off one of the bolts that go from the turbo to the exhaust manifold and what I'm wondering is if this will SERIOUSLY hurt performance.

I've been running the car like this for a month or more now with no real problems, but my 16g and the 3inch exhaust feels slower than the t25 with a stock exhaust.

Is this why?

If the bolt you broke off caused an exhaust leak it may hinder performance due to the gases escaping before they reach the o2 sensor. The car will really richen up if this occurs.

Next time use some liquid wrench the night before. ;)

It will hinder performance if you are getting any leaks between the 2 parts. Spool is going to be effected and as pressure and gases start to make the area swell and contract it is going to cause leaking. Leaking between the 2 is probly one of biggest losses of power (besides intercooler leaks) you will come across. Leaking gases after the o2 housing is ok, but before the turbo is a NO NO. :thumb:

Ok one final question - will it for sure be leaking if you can't hear a leak?

Is there any real way to tell?

Just as a side note - If you read my mod list, the car feels weaker than it did with stock everything.

I really hope this is why...

Any type of intake or exhaust leak prior to the o2 sensor is sure to make the car run like crap.
