2nd gen FWD GS-T & Spyder GS-T track times

Here is my 1 time at the track ....Not that great, but then again I was running 93 Octane, full weight car with stock tire pressure. Through 2nd gear, I was running 17lbs of boost, once I hit third gear, that dropped to 12-13lbs of boost (long story, but the way my profec is, when I shifted, this turned the profec off, so it resorted to the stock spring pressure). Went 14.1@102 with 2.44 60ft. 1/8th mile was 9.3@82. SOme more excauses were it also took me a full second to shift from 1st to 2nd (only took 1/2 sec for 2nd to 3rd.. If not for that alone, I would have surely hit 13's. Did I mention car was also untuned and pig rich (.98V) I barely even got into 4th gear. Like so many others have said, its a different car from a roll. I would like to have a nice track time, but I know what the car is capable of, as evident from what I beat on the hwy :) I'll being going again now that I have the 1G TB on, get the car tuned, and run 20lbs of boost the whole run. I may even take off the headlight and lower the tire pressure a tad.

97spyder Gs-T

60ft= 2.2 when i hit 14.79 @94mph
then--2.0 when i hit 14.76@95mph.

mods:
k&n filter, hks ssbov, greddy evo exh. buschur 2.5 Dp & cat. turbo x's Mbc @16psi

dsmrocker and pasths: Did you guys have all of those mods on when you ran those times? Also, what kind of tires were you using?

Just curious.

Here is my slip with:
Injen Intake, Joe P @ 16psi, Greddy IC piping kit, Type-S BOV, and some race gas. The race gas is there because I have a MBC and I thought I had turned the boost up but I hadn't, which is why I'm looking for an EBC now.

Oh yea and this run was on ZR Kumho 712's stock size.

SPYDERLOVER97

yes, those where my mods when i hit that times and i had the stock "H" rated tires at that time. i was actually impressed about those #'s. it was my first time @ the track. only if i have better traction, it would have been better.

Not too many Spyders are runing at the tracks...why? I am building mine right now to get it tested at the tracks next summer. Will be having if everything goes as planned:
Injen intake,EVI VI FMIC,new IC pipings(complete) , big t-28,fuelpump,MBC,BOV,exhaustsystem(complete3").
Some more might be on too if I can afford but thats the start...... oh and a rollbar since its requiered here with a convertible.

Hope to get some decent times on that...
Want to see more Spyders out there!!!! :)

I would also like to see more spyders running at the track, although i guess the reason you don't see that much is mostly due to the fact that spyders are much more rare than ordinary eclipses and turbo spyders (which are more likely to be taken to the track) are even more rare. I would also like to compliment EuroGSTSpyder on your car, that is the best looking spyder i've ever seen, I've always wanted a black paint job with silver flames. My last two cars were black, and I hope to have my spyder painted black one day, I'm too busy saving for performance upgrades right now.

GreddySpyder

Thanx on the car comment:)The color on your car is the one I would go for after black..definitly!Like that deep purple kinda color..you should be happy with that one too:)

I am to try my car on the tracks this summer to see what it can do...wont be a beast but should be doing some decent times I hope:) Of course supportingm ods as gauges and stuff are on it too:)
I will have a VFAQ on the rollbar building that will come during the winter.

Oh and by the way..I am one of only 5-6 Spyder GST owners in Sweden and as far as I know the only one tuning and building it.So I am pretty alone out here ..not a DSM country this*LOL*

I looked at some more pics of your car in the gallery, and I like it so much it is now set as the wallpaper on my desktop. :thumb: Is there anywhere that we can buy a functional rollbar for the spyder or does it have to be custom made?

15.1 first time i ever ran the car... pretty much stock.

14.51 @ 93 with k&n, exhaust and no cat.

i got the agp t28 on there now, not to mention a new bov, and intercooler pipes... and a few other mods. havent ran the car yet, but hope to see some much better times! :)

oh btw... all these were on 18"s

I'm out there, I just don't want to post my time due to my lack of a slip.

It's low 14's, I'll just let you know. :thumb:

I won't embarass myself, but geez, I must really not be able to drive, I've been to the track twice (one was a 1/4 track, one was 1/8th) and did horrible. I'll give my 1/8th track time I guess, because there's a reason, it was 11.6 due to my boost controller deciding to spring a leak and let me hit 20psi and fuel cut, I quit after that. I do not recommend TurboXS products at all, this was the HPBC.

i ran a 14.3@105 with a big16g@19psi, open stock downpipe, k&n, 2.5" uicp, and a fuel pump, is my car kinda freaky? and i must really suck at driving
