Finally got to take the GS-T to the track. And all i can say is this car is a bi*** to launch :cry: , but anyways i got to make 4 passes. First run was a 10.8 with a 2.8 60ft. :thumbdown , i accidentally let out the clutch at 3500 rpm's faster than what i meant to a needless to say roasted them off. but on my 4th pass i got it down to a 9.70 at 74 mph with a shitty 2.4 60ft. I think i could possibly do better, but no more track days till i get some actual mods, :thumb: to :dsm: because she is still running strong with 132k on stock motor/turbo and tranny, knock on wood.

what does that equate to for 1/4 mile...i have a 96 GST, i just have HKS carbon ti exh..so id proly run about the same as you

thats slow you suck,you cant drive, you no good piece of honda loving crap jk man i told you it would run 9.7's even with those crappy tires

Hopefully not to much longer and i'll be running with your slow POS :p

:shhh: I cant help it im a Honda lover too...

and not just normal street tires, LOL they were bald as hell off brand street tires :thumbdown

It's very true, a FWD turbo is hell to get a good launch out of. I don't have time to search but I am wondering... I always burn the crap out of my tires, or barely get a launch. Are there any tips to launching a 98 GS-T? I read the stuff about AWD, but i gotta know how to get a reespectable launch with my GS-T. What rpms should i drop the clutch at? And any one know what to shift at for the rest of the gears? Thanx for baren with the newb question :thumb:

Slip the clutch at around 3500rpm, lay off the gas in first and mash it in second. I ran a 15.0@95mph bone stock.

i would think a gs-t would have better times than 10.8 in 1/8 i ran a 10.211 in 1/8 with myv6 auto tib.. with just an intake with a 2.248 60' ft time..

Who ran a 10.8?

FWD=wheelspin

You have to be able to drive, no body complains about wheelspin with SRT4's, and theres more than there share of 11-12 second SRT4's. Like bullit said, slip it at 3000-3500RPM mash it in second and you should be able to manage a 14.8-15.0@96mph
