Terrible thing. ^^

BIG UPDATE GUYS
I talked to the park ranger supervisor. He told me its 79 bucks to reserve a spot for us to have. I have a few options for where to stay. Basically, the one to hold up to 200 cars and have a pavilion is 79 bucks. So if we get over 100 people, change out of your pocket is needed. I hope this is cool with everyone. Besides food, you will have to front a cost of less than a dollar. I am not trying to make money out of it, but i would like to recoup the money i have to pay to front the intial cost to have us stay there and have a good time. Best thing though, that lot is OURS! No one else can come in like last year.

Please post up and make sure this is cool guys before i go ahead and do it. Thanks

I'd be willing to chip in for it. Having a huge lot and a pavilion would be nice, as well as keeping out the unwanted party crashers.

Even if we set up a donation can at the meet and asked for whatever people would be willing to give to help towards the cost of having the nice place to meet. I'd hate to require people to pay, as that'd be more of a hassle than anything. You could have someone standing there at the entrance asking for money, but that just seems tacky. If we mentioned for everyone to bring a paper bill of any denomination they choose, I'd be up for that. Some people would surely throw in more than $1. But this is up to everyone as a group so if people want to be required to pay before entering, then so be it. But I'd rather see more people and cars there and have to fork over a bit more money than to turn people away for not wanting to pay to enter.

Is the fee new this year or just because we want to reserve the area for us? $80 isn't that bad though compared to the other locations we were looking at.

Is there any stipulations that go along with reserving a spot? No driving/parking on grass, no loud engines (anti-lag), extra fees for clean up or (heaven forbid) damage of any kind? I just want to make sure we're not going in thinking it's only $80 and then have the rangers/police come in and slap us with more fees/fines.

Toan, can I drive it before you sell it??? You know I'd love to buy that off of you, especially since you've taken such good care of it. How about we trade for a weekend or something? :sneaky:

WE won't need to park on the grass, since like i said, it can accomdate 200+ cars. Also, i don't think we want to cause a big disturbance. It is a park after all. Cleaning, not so much of an issue. The park has trash cans there where the pavilion is, plus toilets behind he said. Basically, 80 bucks gets us the lot. Any fees after that, will be from, well, "demonstrations of your car."

I think that if i just set up a bucket, and say hey, if you want to donate to this meet, since you are having a good time. Then drop a few quarters in, or a buck. If you didnt have a good time, then don't. I said it before, I'm not looking to make money guys, I'm looking to meet some cool cars and their owners. So, it will be donation based funding, and then the cost of food. If you have to spend more than 15 bucks, then we have an issue. I don't think anyone spent more than 10 bucks on food last year. What is another 75 cents to have the meet? Right?

Any thoughts guys?

I think I'm going to have to make the drive now. If we could fill the lot that would be awesome. Sign me up. If the car runs, I'll drive out there. When the time comes closer, I'll start asking people if they want to join a Pittsburgh cruise out there.

James .i think it would be better for us to transfer money to lets say your bank account or paypal,so you will see how much yu gonna collect before the meet.If its gonna be alot more then you got to pay, then you can buy some food for that extra cash..... what do you think?

I don't like that idea, specifically the PayPal account since they take their chunk of change from each transaction.

I think if we have extra money, James and I could come up with a use for it. Maybe a small contest (i.e. Who came from the furthest away?), run out quickly and buy more food (although last year we had PLENTY of food), hand it back out to people in small amounts randomly, throw it up in the air and let people go for it :p

Or an easy solution would be to just keep an eye on it and once we hit that amount to stop accepting donations.

I like the idea of who came the furthest. Give them money to go home. All I need is 80 bucks. If I get 100, I will def stop donations!
