2nd and 3rd gear problems help fast

When i'm racing, I will shift at about 6 grand and when I try to get into 2nd, it grinds and I have to put the clutch down again and put it back in. I see this going into 3rd too. I need help!!!! please all info is appreciated

It could be a lot of things. Try ajusting your clutch. Check that master cylinder and slave cylinder for leaks. Its possible you may need a new clutch or a rebuilt tanny.

one of my buddies had that exact same problem in his 97 gst. it ended up being his ACT clutch b/c when he changed it out for a centerforce stage 3 everything was fine and the problem was gone. but yea it could be a lot of things.
