I was driving to work when all of a sudden I come to a stop sign then let off to proceed forward and all of a sudden I’m going like 2 mph and my rpms are at like 5k so I restart my car and it’s proceeds to work fine until I put a good amount of pressure on the break then it goes back into limp mode is it possible it could be bad break calibers? I only go into limp mode and when I put a good amount of pressure on breaks I have a 1995 eagle talon esi 420a any suggestions on what to look for ?

I also throw a p1391 manufactur control code ?

if you replace the cam sensor you want to get the factory replacements (mopar)
if your looking to buy one locally, go to the dodge dealership parts department and tell them you need a cam sensor for a 1995 dodge avenger 2.0L

or online:

i'm not sure if you can get the crank sensor at the dealer or if it has been discontinued. if they don't have them
go with this one:

I replaced the crankshaft yesterday and the camshaft a month ago it’s weird because the day i Got the crankshaft sensor part in was also the day this started happening?

Do you think I could try cleaning the camshaft sensor?

Or should I just replace it again?

based on all the cars i have dealt with, that have a 420a or some variant of it,
its either::
====== from using a cam sensor that is NOT a mopar replacement =======
or
====== a problem with the wiring ==============

so when its the wiring, i has always been

-- egr tube melted wires (see this post for more info)

or

-- cam sensor connector was changed to the updated one. installer did a shitty job splicing it into the rest of the harness. like shitty crimps and no heat shrink

did you have to change out the connector for either one? where the old sensors bad?

Well I replaced the crankshaft and after replacing it it fixed my very long crank time and I replaced the camshaft because I got a camshaft cel when I pulled the code

okay. have you checked the wires to make sure that they haven't been melted by the EGR
like in the link on my previous post?

until I put a good amount of pressure on the break then it goes back into limp mode
does it do it when your moving and hit the breaks to slow down
or
does it go into limp mode if your not moving and then stomp the brakes?

as far as the cam sensor, any thing besides the mopar one, will be hit or miss. Alot of the other ones don't work right even when new.

It does it when I’m slowing down for a light or any stop when I press the breaks it work fine until the last 3 seconds of the stop then it kinda like surges a bit before I come to a complete stop when I stop a bit agressive it will throw a cel and put me in limp mode
