I found a wire that not connected that’s in the rear. My reverse lights don’t work and I’m thinking maybe this can be why. But I don’t know where the switch connects to. Pls let me know if it’s for the reverse and if so where it connects to, thank you.

Unfortunately, not for the reverse lights; that one is for the original 6-disc changer.

I'm not exactly sure how the non-turbo, manual 2Gs get the reverse signal from the transmission, but have you verified the sensor at the transmission is good?

Oh I see that makes sense. It has a cheap aftermarket radio. Thank you. Oh and I haven’t yet because I don’t have someone to help me at the moment. I had made a mistake a got a new sensor off eBay but it was to big and I put it in … rookie mistake, j don’t know what it did but it chewed up the new one and it would let me change into 3-5 and R. When I put my old one on it shifted fine but still no reverse lights when I took it out and put it back in. I know you can press on it when it’s out to see if it works but I didn’t do that last time. Is there anywhere else I can just buy a new sensor that isn’t from eBay. You got any recommendations sites. Here are the photos of what happened with the sensors

Looks like you got a sensor for the Mitsubishi engine applications and not the 420A.

I'd try RockAuto.
