420A 2GNT ASD Relay

Was wondering how/if I can jump my asd relay to see if it bad.
Any help please

you have to be joking since your a wiseman right?? the asd relay is on the firewall by the master cylinder. its for the fuel pump.

you can check it with a test light to see if it has power first off.

I've never heard of an ASD relay either, and I'm pretty well versed in what's in my bay...


Maybe it's cause he's NT and has a 420A, not a 4G63.

yeah the 420a's have an asd relay. asd stands for automatic shutdown which obviously if anything goes bad it wont let the fuel pump work properly

It's a Chrysler thing. My 2000 Jeep Wrangler was giving me a code for the ASD relay. Turned out it was caused by a bad cam sensor.

asd relay powers up the injectors ,coil , generator and it could also power up the egr . there should be a separate relay for the fuel pump

Kalub thanks for the shot on the 420a we all have our preferences on what works (or lack there of)

Seriously though I changed my ck sensor and my coil is good along with correct fuel. Now I have been told its my asd relay. Someone has to know whats going on right?
