anybody got a source for a new MR178172 bumper covers? - ready for paint.

It has a little scuffing, nothing a little sanding couldn't fix up. Has the mount structure and crash beam still installed since that's how I removed it years ago. No tears, rips, cracks, etc..

Only issue for shipping would be the retarded cost due to weight and size.

"If" you ended up deciding to take it, I honestly wouldn't ask for much if anything. And could remove all the internal weight too. I've had it up for sale periodically over the past few years with other 2GA parts, and nothing sold. More interested in clearing space without actually scrapping it.

Interesting - Removing the bumper internals would help. Do you have the running light inserts?
Does the nose have a recessed triangle for the diamond emblem? or is it smooth?

I do have running lights that can go with it, and there is no badge recess. I don't recall ever seeing a 2GA bumper with one. Could be wrong never seeing it, but mine definitely doesn't have that.

The recess was on my factory original 95, but I've not been able to find one with the recess since. If it had it - I'd probably work hard to have you ship it to California. Where did that one come from BTW? Curious. When I repainted last, I was able to get a NIB folded bumper cover from CarID for not a lot - but they look out of stock today.

My 96 has the insert. I think mine is like a January or march 96 manufactured date for the car. Also the oem bumper should have a Mitsubishi sticker on the inside of the bumper on the passengers side around the side marker indention

I have one from my first 96 Gst taken off at 80k miles in 2004 in my attic. I can’t see a way I could ship it

Interesting. Mine was a 95 GSX, but the way it looks in the pics, is the way I bought it. Can't recall ever seeing that indentation, but cool it has one.
