The front end can be bought off ebay brand new with the emblem shaved (this isnt OEM, but a very close reproduction) for 185 plus shipping (225 total).
Reverse lights are 25.45 each brand new from the dealer, ebay has them sometimes for just slightly cheaper although I havent seen them for much less than 40 shipped, and for the 10 bucks Id rather have the convenience of just ordering them from Mitsu themselves and having them local pickup. I just ordered these today by the way which is why I know the exact price off the top of my head.
I found one headlight at the junkyard in very very good condition for 50 bucks, although most likely the junkyards will ask rediculous prices as I have now found out (300 bucks for bumpers with paint damage, 450 for ones with good paint, so seriously I wouldnt even try them). Although I did find that many junkyards dont keep on record their sideskirts, so there is a chance you can get them there for cheap since they dont keep them on record. The reason they cost so much is because the actual cost from Mitsu is absolutely REDICULOUS, and therefore they figure they have a "deal" by selling it for ONLY 300, instead of the 600+ or whatever the dealer would most likely want. But since they dont usually keep records of the sideskirts they have there is a good chance you can get them to just cut a deal off the top of your head instead of comparing prices with Mitsu.
Otherwise, I would say the best places to find them is Ebay, thepartstrader.com, DSMtuners, Dsmtrader, or any local boards such as DragVA (which is just VA guys).
Again I just cant get over how nice pats car looks in these pics compared to how it used to look. Its killing me knowing mine will be just like that in such a short period of time now, it's like a tease at this point.
Personally I would highly suggest the 97-99 sideskirts and front end at the very least. The problem however arises that the 95-96 turbo parts have the stupid grey strip at the bottom, which IMO looks good, but if you are doing only certain parts of the swap, this means you either repaint the new parts with the grey, or repaint the old parts, which for someone like me who really doesnt feel particular either way on the rear bumper, I almost feel its financially a better choice to just swap to the newer bumper thats already painted right.
Just some thoughts I've had while working on getting the parts for this swap.
Hey pat, how low is the new front end compared to the old one? It just seems that the 97+ rear end is lower to begin with, and with the chin spoiler its even lower.
