Resolved 2G Where does this ground go?

the one that comes off the negative post of the battery and then goes into the wiring harness, then out near the starter area, where does it go?

does it go on one of the starter bolts? mine isnt hooked up, what would that cause the car to do?

My recolection is that the main ground goes to one of the bolts in your Transmission housing. I take it your talking about a smaller ground wire which maybe goes to the chassis.

It goes to the starter bolt.

its black with a yellow stripe, i dont have it hooked up, do i have to hook it up?

I have to run, but that sounds like your main ground to the engine.......

It goes on the next bolt over from the starter bolt. Bell housing to tranny bolt.

theres 2 bolts that hold the starter on, one on the top elft and one on teh bottom right

does it go in between the starter and the tranny in the top left one?

it goes on the bolt above the 2 starter bolts ... just bolts the tranny to the engine.

k i found a post from a few months ago where the guy asked the same question and put ti where that little clip to the right of the starter was that holds the water line up or whatever that is, so i put it there

next question: is it ok if i run a brand new line from my battery to there or do i need to use the factory ground

there i ran a new 4g wire from there to the negative terminal, is that going to be ok since i no longer am using the stock wire?

I dont know how many times people have to say it dude. It goes to the exact bolt I said. Just like in your pic there.

Yep, there is no reason you can't use a different wire providing it's at least the same quality as the stocker.
