I was just wondering, in the near future i will be purchasing a TSI turbo kit from prostreetonline, and i wanted to get better pistons since the engine will be turbo, i was thinkin about putting in turbo pistons from a 2nd gen eclipse. i just wanted to know what would have to be done to make this happen...are they the same bore or would i have to bore out my cylinders, and will it fit on the stock 4g63 rod or will modifications have to be done....thanks.

The 2 gen turbo engine is 4g63 also. Those pistons should just swap in and out from what ive seen but im not sure, but pretty close.
I didnt even know that anyone made a turbo kit for the 1stgen, o well, guess i was wrong.

yea they make a turbo kit for the 1st gen its a tsi turbo kit and its a t-25 turbo with 6-7lbs of boost...to start with, i just wanted lower compression so i could raise the boost but wasnt sure if i can just put the turbo 2nd gen pistons in without boring my cylinders or making any other modifications
