Hi all,i recently put a 6 bolt swap in my 95 talon awd,okay my mods are 14b,balance shaft elemanation kit,98 flashable ecu,punishment racing fmic,wally 190,b and m oil cooler,and 3 inch turboback.Ok now,i have a safc2,aem wideband,im looking to run around 16-17 pounds of boost,will the safc be sufficaint,or will the ceddy mods be the way to go,thanks.

Sell the SAFC and just use the flashable ECU.

prawdtsi2g, i hope u dont mind me jumping in on this thread, but this raised a couple questions i got about the dsm ecu.

1. are all DSM flashable?

2. whats the procedure to reflash an ECU for the DSM? is it simply cutting power to the ECU?

Thanks guys,im aware of the ceddy mods,do they have abase setting i can use with the mods listed?is it pretty straight foward,these were my intentions when buying the ecu,thanks.

yes.. thank you very much for that link.. awesome.. just to clear something right quick.. only that particular 98/99 ecu w/ black plastic is flashable..
can i buy a 98/99 ecu for my 96 gsx and work just as well?

Yes you can... Ive got a friend of mine that put a 99 ECU into his early 97 and it worked perfectly. I believe in order to use NLTS you have to do the pin mod but that isnt a big deal so just research it a little bit and youll find all the info you could ever want!

Im just now getting into Ceddy Mods/ECUFlash and I cant be happier. Im learning alot about the car at the sametime

Just incase you didnt find it the procedure is very easy... Hook up 2.0 cable, Write to ECU, and then unhook Battery power for 2 mins(Reset Fuel Trims), Hook up battery and start the car and log to see what youve got

Thanks for the help guys,i will be tuning with the safc, until i get a better understanding of the ceddy mods.Thanks god i finally got into dsm,this forum sure beat srt fourms,which i had an srt,and the bmw fourms,everbody acts pretty grown and helps out.

If he has a 95 with the EPROM ecu, I'd still give ECMLink a look. It all comes down to personal preference. Plus ECMLink still has many features that the 98/99 ecu doesn't.

Exactly if you already have the eprom just send it to be socketed and get ecmlink. You won't regret it

+1 on using the 95 epromecu and ecmlink iv got it in my 96 awd tsi and not disapointed at all. it costs alittle bit more but well worth the money

I don't see this any where in your post or profile, but you will need bigger injectors to run that boost level.I was at 80% idc on my 14b@15psi with 550cc injectors.The reflashable ecu would probably be better to use.Sell the safc and buy injectors.
