2G TSi Stock Boost Gauge Reading?

Hey all,
I am suspecting a vacuum leak in my 2g TSi.
I have a rough idle.
I am running the factory boost gauge as of right now. The gauge reads at the middle point or 0 at idle. Should the needle read below center to show vacuum?

The factory boost gauge is simulated from various other sensors like the reading from the MAS, TPS, and engine RPM. If those signals are accurate it should be displaying vacuum while idling. Since it's not one or more of them is incorrect confusing the ECU and possibly causing the rough idle.

So could this be caused by a vacuum leak, or would it be more pointed towards one of the the sensors itself?

Could be either or both. Run a boost leak test and you'll have your answer.

X2 on the boost leak test and get yourself a aftermarket boost gauge.

Just ran a boost leak test and found nothing.
when i rev the engine it sputters and wont pass 4000 rpm.
