2g tranny on 1g block

so i was about to drop my built motor into my car finally but ran into a problem...

my setup:
1g block (4g63), 2g tranny (from my 97 gst, 4g63)

after I put the 6 bolt flywheel on and bolted up the pressure plate I put on the tranny but noticed there were 2 gaps where you could see the flywheel
does there need to be some metal plates covering them?
1 of the holes is on the opposite side of the starter, the other one is on the bottom.
is something wrong? or what is the part called that i need??

the one on the bottom is normal. thats the inspection cover and theres a plate to go over it. the one opposite the starter should be covered by the spacer/starter bracket/shim that goes inbetween the block and trans. not sure if this is what you did but you need to use the 2g spacer not the 1g.
