2g to 1g questions

hey guys how are ya? so i recently had a tree fall on my 2g awd tsi talon and i picked up a 1g tsi awd earlier today. so im trying to see what parts i should strip from the 2g that are better OEM parts for the 1g i now have.

second i have a walbro 255 pump from my 2g that i want to know if i can wire into the 1g sending unit? if so how do i do it?.

third when i pulled the valve cover off it was filled with coolant that could be the head gasket right? im pulling the motor and head off to do some port work tomorrow just want to know what kind of mess im getting in to here
i also have a 2g fmic thats 12"x24"x3 that was from my 2g and i want to try stuffing it in the front of the 1g any tips or advice on how to get it to fit right any advice is greatly appreciated.

1g has stronger rods, the 2g has better pistons, Please search before you post. All the questions you asked can be answered if you search.

The exhaust manifold is less likely to crack than the 1g. You can use most parts in the engine bay to have as spare such as cool pack transistor pack, fuses fuel rail injectors. The throttle body elbow is an upgrade if Ported to match right. The fuel pump you can buy a install kit and use it. Hopefully you have a fuel pressure regulator to use with it as well.
