I am looking for a 1g CAS to 2g adaptor. It is for the 6bolt swap. I have looked on the vfaq and seen the diagram many many times, but I am still confused.
1. Where can I get the plugs to plug into the CAS/other end of the adaptor?
2. or do i just solder the wires right into the CAS (this just sounds like i shoudlnt do it)?
3. On the other end, Where is the 2g Crank sensor plug, and the Cam angle sensor plug located? It has been about 2 months since I have disconnected the wires and I dont remember. There is a triangular plug like the crank sensor plug on top of my 2g AC compressor, and there is another one with my coilpacks.
And I have no idea where the Cam sensor plug is.

Can someone help me out? I dont want to pay a ridiculous amounf of money for some wires that I could easily whip up myself.

Thanks alot

I used the magnus conversion harnes for a 95,96 to 91-94 CAS and it gives you both connectors for the 95 CAS and crank sensor and the 1g CAS. i purchase my cable from ebay because someone had one in canada already. you can make a harness if you check the Road race engineering website. both plugs are located by the FPR solenoid and intake manifold i think both of them are triangular in shape its been a few months since i put a 1g cas on my 96 motor.

I also forgot to mention in my other post a 95 and 96 with a 1g motor there is a possiblity of random missfire unless you go with dsm link or switch to a 98 ecu (which i run with cedy mods with no problems) hope that helps out

None of those really answer the question? I posted the vfaq, which leeds right to RRE. Which is where i am still confused. I am asking how to make my own harness.... Yes i will buy one if i cant but it should be that hard should it? I dont want to pay $70 for some wires.

ONE end plugs into the 1g CAS.... Where can i get this plug? The other end plugs into the 2g Crank sensor... which is located where? I took all the wires out... since i took my motor out. Like i said, there is a triangle ontop of my ac compressor, and another on my ignition. I used my 2g coilpacks.

Only connections by the intake mani are one ontop of ac compressor, and one on my coilpacks. There used to be another one but that was the crank angle sensor (which went under my timing cover on the 2g) and what would be the point in plugging that in there if its not sensing anything?

Anybody have a diagram that i can use. YES i have looked at RRE, Vfaq, and theres another one i forget what its called.

and im runing ecmlink

here s three pics hot out from under the hood of my tsi w/ a 6 bolt swap. coming from the cam angle sensor from left to right are black red yellow and white. the black yellow and red wires plug into the triangle plug with yellow being the point. with the point(yellow wire) farthest away the red and black are closer with the red being on the left and black on the right. the white wire goes in the center on the rectangle plug.:thumb: got it??

OKAYYYYY never mind than. I understand how to make it.... That wasnt the question... the question is where do they plug in on the other side of the CAS (timing belt side)

But nevermind ill figure it out later
