it feels like i have searched everywhere for some factory made smoked tail lights for 2g eagle talon, but all i found are some 10 year old treads that says there aren´t any..
are there any tail lights to be found now days?
i´m not interrested in swapping to eclipse lights & spoiler and rather not tint the original ones since i dont like the looks of it.

If you take the time to do it correctly, VHT can make it look really good. I have a few pics of mine in my photo's if you want to take a look.

I know you are asking if there are aftermarket/stock tinted tail lights, but unfortunately those year old threads still hold true. The only way you can tint them is either with a film or a tint spray of some sort.

This is what I used: Rust-Oleum Corporation 253256 - Rust-Oleum Lens Tint Spray - Overview - SummitRacing.com

I prefer this over VHT because the amount of work needed to accomplish the same result. Without a coat of clear, VHT will look dull while Rustoeum Lens Tint dries as a gloss. The only prep work required is a clean, dry surface.

You can refer to this thread for pics:

Good Luck!

thanx a lot for all replys!
in that case it seems like i will have to tint them.

I have used VHT Nightshade and I have found that if you purchase the vinyl smoke wrap and apply it witha heat gun and follow the proper procedure it comes out much better.

i searched for vht nightshade and there was no shop in sweden that sells it unfortunatly, on ebay 1 can cost like 9$ and shipping to sweden cost 90$ so i guess i will have to look for some other brand that i can get here back home:)

very nice indeed!:thumb:
think i will go a bit darker though, but you did a great job and it looks real nice!

This is what i did with mine. I think getting rid of the amber part of the taillights made it look cleaner.

dsmAB - nicest looking talon lights i've seen so far. im not a huge fan of the talon rear ends but that doesn't look all that bad.

Spray Tint and clear is your only choice.

This is my car, I'm redoing them so I'll be using clear from an HVLP gun. Real clear coat that you need to mix with a reducer not spray can stuff.

Here's my friend's tails I did with VHT and several coats of clear. He wanted them darker as he doesn't like the amber. I don't have an installed picture sadly.

I think this thread just pushed me over, and now im going to tint my rear lights also. I need a paint job also so might get both done same time.

I do like the rear of your talon "Blurred Talon". question though when you go that dark like on your friends lights can you still see the color when they are lit up? A good amount or just barely?

only advice I can give on using VHT is make sure that when you start spraying on the first coats that you are inside a shop or even a screened in porch because any miniscule particles get in it you'll end up with a rough non smooth finish. I figured it out the hard way.
