Ok "defiant"...explain all the tinkering with the switch. Why is that necessary?

The cruise switch is mounted to the stock steering wheel. Because he was putting an aftermarket steering wheel on there are no provisions for mounting the switch. He had to figure out a way to mount the switch since he wanted to keep it. The horn works by momentarily touching the contact on the back of the horn button (in the middle of the steering wheel) to the grounded contact on the car (the hacksaw blade). Make sense now?

Oooo...now it makes sense. I have deleted my cruise, therefore it was not making sense. I thought I would have to put it back on. Ok, never mind then. Thanks for clearing that up.

The stock cruise control runs through the mass of wiring inside the clockspring, a goofy-assed contraption necessitated by the advent of everyone's favorite jack-in-the-box, the facebomb. Sorry, I meant "airbag". Or, as the enlightened refer to them, "goddamned mofhteuucking airbag".
After market wheels, meant (rather oddly, in the mind of legislators) for steering the car instead of just being something to hold onto in the midst of your inevitable crash, have no provision for such mystical gimcrackery.
"Sarcasm"? Me? Oh, no. Never.

Well, I searched the forums and I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I installed my steering wheel I couple months ago while my car was sitting. It's a sparco wheel with a sparco hub. I read this article..
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...rn-connection-aftermarket-steering-wheel.html

I can't figure out how to work the horn. I used a large hose clamp and used it as a spring. I have the "clockspring" completely removed and I cut the wires for the cruise control and just wired them directly to the cruise control switch....My horn setup up currently consists of a hose clamp used as a spring to connect the silver horn contact to the bronze back of the hub adapter...the single wire that comes through hub adapter is connected to one of contacts on the back of the horn button, and the other contact on the back of the horn button is used as a ground....The horn doesn't work..

I have no idea whats going wrong. If anyone can help, please tell me where I've went wrong. Thanks in advance.

Was the horn working before you installed the new steering wheel? If you are not sure, start with the fuse and horn relay. You could check the wires with a multimeter to make sure than there is current going to the horn.

Yeah I would check the wires with a multimeter to make sure your getting the current. I have had no problem with my horn with my momo hub/wheel even now that I have the nrg quick release.

Don't mean to thread jack, but I'm having the same proiblems and I have the same setup as you Project (a momo wheel/hub and nrg quick release), do you mind posting pix or pm'ing me your setup, because I've tried everything and my horn refuses to operate.

I will take some pictures for you and PM you. :thumb:
