So ive been having this problem for awhile now, but never thought much of it seeing as the car has 80k on it (original motor/tranny) (clutch and flywheel 30k ).
So it happens differently some times but, ill be driving, light turns red, i clutch (hold it in, throw it into neutral and coast up to the red light with the clutch in and at like 1mph or at a stop toss it back into first holding the clutch ).
Ive seen at times when im about to or am at a dead stop (clutch it, positive) that the car seems to want to lung forward ( kind of like bouncing forward because the brake is on ). Now this to me seems like a clutch problem or a MC and SC problem. ( ive never tried or had a situation to just try clutching with no brake in because i live in PA and there is no such thing as flat ground).
Ive seen this happen more or less on hills ( front end higher than the back ), i dont know if this is because im pressing the brake harder cause of the incline or not. Also it happens if the front or rear end is higher then the other side ( ie back end is on a 2' drop (curb) and the front is off of it, at a stop its impossible to put it into 1's/3/5th gear, and i can force it into 2nd 4th ( and it grinds going into reverse).
This is another common problem i have. Coasting to a stop, clutch in, in neutral then after im stopped trying to put it into 1st/3/5th is impossible, but when i force it into 2nd, clutch and gas it to spin the clutch/tires a bit and just move maybe an inch i can hurry up clutch and throw it into 1st with some force.
The MC to SC line is stock, so are the MC and SC. Clutch is an Act 2600 w/ Act streetlight flywheel, engine is stock 7 bolt (98 eclipse gst).
Any ideas?
