1G 2g seat belts into 1g?

Has anyone ever tried installing a complete set of 2g manual seat belts as an alternative to the stock strangulator automatic belts?

Canadian belts are always an option, but I'm not interested in paying dealer prices and/or spending a ton of time scouring canadian dsm classifieds...
