Not saying im going to do this but I'm interested in learning about it.
I have searched and read many threads on this topic and all I seem to find is awd's with the fwd deleated...lame... but I was looking on Buschur Racing and found that they have alot of parts to turn your motor
heres the link
https://secure.buschurracing.com/ca...23_99&osCsid=d1c0d46fe9b895d21b9cc9f48b27852b
But all I have seen so far is straight up drag car rwd conversions.
So iv been looking for info and trying to see what it would take to make a street rwd 2g.
what I'v come up with, is you could use the motor mounts from Buschur, and all those other little parts.
I was thinking a conquest transmission.I think youd have to cut out the floor under the center counsle and dash and weld in a new one (to make it fit) and either use a gsx rear end with some better gears or maybe the conquest rear end.
*****************( I would like this to be an info only forum!!!!!! So please only post if you have some info that some one searching this topic could use, Like parts lists, how-to instructions, links)********************************************* Thank you

RX-7 tranny probably wouldn't be any more trouble than the Starquest tranny, and will hold more power.

Double bonus: the Mazda B2600 bellhousing bolts to the TII tranny AND the 4g63/64 wideblock engines.

If you're wondering about general RWD 4g63 stuff, then just check out projectzerog.com since pretty much everything has been done there. Maybe not a RWD 2g, but all kinds of permutations of trannys and engines. Yeah, it'd take a lot of fudging to fit.

I'd love to have one, though. :)

buschur already makes the adapter plate. And the t-56 is a 6 speed, that you will be able to throw tons of hp at!

well this is true they are expensive, but you can get soem good deals at the junk yard, pretty much all gm 6 speeds are T-56

T-56's go for $1000+ a pop, a TII tranny is $300 without even trying to find a good deal. They both hold power pretty well, so the only real downside to the TII tranny is the lack of a 6th gear... which is more than worth the price difference (plus the fact that there's already a factory bell housing that will bolt the TII tranny to a wideblock).

This stupid topic has been more than killed on this site, many times. If you're going to be building a RWD DSM the "right" way, it for all intents and purposes will no longer be a DSM. You may as well drop a DSM shell onto a RWD platform that was already engineered for it.
It won't be easy, and it sure won't be cheap.
