2g parts 1g car and motor

ok so i have a 97 eclipse gst and a 91 talon tsi awd. i was just wondering if anyone knew if i could swap the turbo, manifold, etc from the gst (its built but getting taken apart for my own rebuild instead of the one i bought it with) and swap them onto my talon? i dont wanna go crazy spending money on the talon so i wanted to reuse my parts i already had. thanks for any help or input.

is your 2g have the stock turbo?? if so its a smaller t25 than the 1g 14b..you can swap turbos though with out a problem and the manifold as well.

The 2g exhaust manifold is an upgrade compared to the 1g and so is the TB elbow. Keep the 14b on there unless it's blown.

im not sure what size the turbo is because it is not stock i think its the 16g? Im not 100% though. The car was built two owners ago and whats done to it was kinda lost in transition. all they can tell me is its running about 400hp. i just didnt know what it would take to change over manifold, turbo, intake mani, etc.

You should take some pictures of the parts then before swapping them out.

will do. as of right now its 20 degrees out here and a layer of ice is covering everything so that even the walking campus college is closed . so it will be a few days for the pics. but thank you for your help and i will be sure to post them.

Yes! ditch the t25 (2g turbo) but use the 2g exhaust manifold holds better!

the eclipse doesnt have a t25 anymore. im not sure what it has. here in a few days ill go get pics.
