1g with 2g motor and tranny?

I have a 92 tsi and the tranny went to crap motor leaks oil was wondering if someone could put a 2g setup as in motor and tranny in a 1g and if theres any diffrences are a link to exsiting thread cause I cant find it

Mounts are different on the 1g transmission if im correct.

A 2g transmission will work in a 1g. However, you need a 1g engine in your 1g. This is due to the engine mount setup differences between the 1st gen and 2nd gen cars.

He is requiring you to follow step #5 below. The issue was more than just spelling, it was also grammar and punctuation. Without following those rules, your searches will be empty, and if any useful information was to exist in your post, but had poor spelling and grammar, then it would not come up in others searches on that same subject. This would cause yet another thread asking questions about something that has been hashed out many times over.

Sometimes the Mods come over as harsh, but when you have to reprimand many posters a day, it can be very understandable.

First off, they are the rules, we all have to follow them. It isn't because it is this guy or that guy. I won't even get into the "fighting for people like you" comment.

So i would find a transmission for your set up, there out there in ebay, and classifieds, or find one at the salvage yard.
