Resolved 2G oil filter housing

Alright guys and gals. I have a problem. I need to find an oil filter housing for my car. I got a 97 eclipse GST. It cracked around the oil pressure sending unit and spewing oil out. how do you change those, I can't find it in my repair manual anywhere, and what price are they?? where can I get them from.

Yes, the harmonic damper has to be lined up properly. There's a pin in the crank sprocket that fits in a small hole in the damper. It should be fairly obvious as it won't sit on the sprocket unless it's lined up (or someone pounded in/removed your pin).

No idea - never used one. I can assume yes, as long as the shape and port holes are the same.

Good luck finding it an auto parts store. My local ones do not carry it indivdually because it comes with the oil pump gasket set. I ordered one from extreme psi for around $4.

You will be lucky to find that gasket at a parts store unless you buy the front case kit.

when you put it back togeather make sure you red loc tight the oil filter bolt and torque it to 35lbs. having to deal with that sucker backing out going down the road is no fun/dangerous depending on how fast you're going when it lets go.

That is a correct statement. Just called everywhere and no one has it. Jnz tuning or local Mitsubishi here I come. Is there a difference between the 1g 7 bolt and 2g 7 bolt OFH or do they just use the same gasket?(md185528)

The part number you posted is for all 7 bolts. There's a different part number for 6 bolts.

You can buy the whole front case gasket set for like 10 bucks from your local parts store that will have the ofh gasket. The part number is, TCS45941 and that is a felpro part number. They should have it in stock, and if not most can usually have it the next day.

Grab an evo 9 ofh and then add an external oil cooler
