I'm looking to replace my front knuckles and all four front lower control arms. For the left side, these are the parts I would need.
Front lateral arm (MR296295) - $31.91
Front curved arm (MR296291) - $202.61
Knuckle (MR223628) - $265.77

I was looking through CAPS and found a knuckle kit (knuckle, lateral arm, and curved arm) and it is significantly cheaper than purchasing all 3 separately. The part number for the left kit is MR325009 ($118.47).

Things I know about the separate parts:
96-99 knuckles all contain the same revised part number (includes ABS and non-ABS)
95-99 lateral arms all contain the same revised part number
95-99 curved arms do have a few different part numbers, but I think they now are all revised and the same part
95 VIN displays **NO DATA** when I try to view a knuckle, but shows the part number for the knuckle kit
96-99 VIN's display **NO DATA** when I try to view the knuckle kit, but shows the part number for the knuckle

My question is: Will the knuckle kit work on my '99? I've talked to a few places that sell OEM parts and nobody can confirm yes or no for me. The only way to find out is to order the kit, and if it doesn't work too bad for me.

I just bought a rear drivers side knuckle for my car from dsm graveyard.com and sure it was a bit rusty but a few minutes with a wire brush and a coat of paint is all it nees to look as good as new.. (almost) the bushings were in decent shape as well.

I paid $99 for the knuckle... your kit seems suspiciously cheap.. is it OEM I wonder?

I am going to say yes. I have a feeling that it is priced like this to move what stock they have for the cars. Also MPD is a dealer and the knuckle kit is a dealer part #.

Bumping this thread for a question.

MR325009

and

MR325010

Contain both lower control arms per side?

I have a quick question for everybody here. What all parts are different between the 95 and the 99 with kit? are the spindles the same or are they different as well, I have a 97 tsiawd and a 95tsiawd parts car, can I use the spindles from the 95 on my 97 car? same goes with the rear spindles are the mounting points, I know that the 2gb rear spindles give a little more room for tires but will they bolt up the same? thanks

Received my kit today. I have been searching, attempting to clarify the differences between the lateral arms. They have different part numbers, but what is different? Difficult to see, the bushing where the strut fork mounts seems to be canted a few degrees. There are no casting numbers on the arms. One has an obvious L on it. The L arm has a hole drilled and tapped where the R arm has an undrilled boss.

I looked at Rockauto and the pictures of the MOOG arms also show the same undrilled boss on the right arm. Not sure how to explain that.

These lateral arms are going to have the bushings removed in favor of Prothanes which leads me to ask what the difference between the two will be after removing the OEM rubber?

Besides the paint pen marking L on one of the arms, I want to know what separates these arms. Any insight?

Dave, I don't think there is any difference on the arms. I could be wrong though. I did install them on the side per the labeling on the box and I did the same with the Moog arms on the other car just because the boxes were labeled that way.

I will likely do the same - I just want to double check the guy at the warehouse as one arm has the L and the other is unmarked. How do I know both are not Left hand lateral arms you know? The fact that there are separate part numbers throws me off...

MR3250010 - just searched at mitsubishiparts.com and it says that it does not exist.

MR3250009 comes up as "? KNUCKLE KIT-LH" for $81.25 though.

I need to get this kit ordered asap, im having huge alignment issues (even after getting aligned by two different shops, still pulls to left under cruise and braking).

NM had too many 00's, not copy-pasting owned me there.

Found a better deal guys.

$260 SHIPPED on ebay gets you:

Upper control arm set
Lower control arm set
Lateral control arm set
Inner tie rod end set
Outer tie rod end set
Swaybar endlink set

Its all Moog stuff and ive never heard anything bad about Moog. I priced out EVERYTHING from mitsubishiparts.com and it was gonna be $650 for everything I listed above. The Knuckle Kit above doesnt come with the upper control arms, doesnt come with tie rods (both outer and inner) or swaybar endlinks. So for $260 ill have pretty much entire new front suspension.

Gonna order just the energy suspension bushing kit for the rear. Theres no Ebay replacement kit for rear components unfortunately.

Will probably install it this weekend and get it re-aligned right afterwards. Will post up results!

iirc the knuckle doesnt have any wear items (bushings, etc), so why replace it?

I suck at suspension stuff, but i dont see any reason to replace the knuckle/spindle if it has no wear items.

The LCA, UCA and Lateral control arms were plastic wrapped with just the tiny mitsu part code sticker on them. So correction, they arent Moog.

The end links and tie rod ends were in MOOG boxes. Not really afraid of running Moog stuff, i see the name whored out at pretty much every repair shop ive ever been inside, on the side of both Nascar and Indy cars, etc. Gotta be better than a Duralast/BeckArnley or the like....

SUSPENSION TALON SEBRING GALANT ECLIPSE 95-96-98-99-00 : eBay Motors (item 390166366170 end time Jul-04-10 10:02:44 PDT)

that was mine. $230 shipped.....dunno where i got $260 from.

Are you sure that's all Moog gear? I'd be delighted if it were but I'm just not seeing it. I've personally purchased from that vendor before and they did not supply moog parts. They are some sort of OE replacement: Can-ARM, worldsuspension etc. The boots on my parts, from that vendor, cracked in a week. They still hold fine but they don't look healthy.
Just from a financial standpoint, unless that vendor robbed a truck, theres no way to accumulate all those parts for $260. Not when a Moog compression arm is infinity dollars and the lateral arms costing more than OEM gear.

You cant even buy all eBay brand gear ( the Arm-CAN, OE replacement brands etc,) for that little.

I'm going to try to get the oem kit if it comes with early 2g knuckles so I can run my KMV brackets. Otherwise, that doesn't look like a bad deal at all.

Control arms were not moog, they just came in a plastic bag with a mitsu part# sticker.

The tie rods and endlinks came in moog boxes.

So far two locals have ran this kit (minus the tie rods and endlinks) with no issues.

So if I ordered this said kit MR325009, it would come with ABS knuckles correct?

Thanks for clarifying. The tie rods looked distinctly Moog, I just installed a set of Moog ones, myself. They're shorter - as in installing them by painting a line or counting turns won't get you back in the ballpark. YMMV.
Other than that, they're WAY better than my last tie rod ends that ate themselves in a week.

Thanks for replying quickly.

i dont expect them to; car will be driven straight to the alignment rack.

so far the car has been aligned 3 times, first when i got it, second after i replaced the wheels (since the tech said the worn tires would throw it off during driving), and last time was about two weeks ago.

It pulls to the left (drivers) while driving. Under uneven road the bumps will force the wheel to the left or the right (depending on whats happening at the tire to surface patch). and our roads are hell so its very annoying now. Sometimes coming to a stop the front will jerk to the left somewhat violently. It has Toyo Proxes so yeah i know theyre somewhat sticky and the more traction you have the more the tire will "track" under uneven road conditions and ridges, but not to the point any small bump/ridge in the road should pull the car out of a straight line. Ive replaced shocks and all the shock/spring assembly bushings with brand new OEM stuff, no change. Ive been fighting it for 2 years and finally i was like "you know what, were just gonna replace the entire front suspension, thatll fix it!"

Im hoping to tackle it tomorrow night, and get some positive results.
