2G N/T 420a Smoke Coming From Engine/Intake Manifold After Oil Change/Intake Change?

So I changed my old stock intake today with the AEM cold air intake and the car was working just fine took it for a couple runs..

After I changed the oil on my car today with the WIX filter and Mobil 1 synthetic high mileage oil I took it for a couple runs and then smoke started coming from the intake manifold/engine.

did oil get on the exhaust? It could be burning off causing smoke.

I normally use GTX regular motor oil and just switched with the Mobil 1 synthetic today. Could it be the oil? Should I just do a new oil change with the regular oil I have been using?? HELP!!

i have been having this problem too after making a couple full throttle pulls i notice it before i did my head change i had a bad oil leak i was thinking it could just be it burning off but its been warmed up a few times now

I was pulling hard just to test out the car. its weird I never had this before until now and my car has never leaked oil

I've never heard of oil causing this, not to insult you, but did you spill any oil while putting it in?

can you see were the oil is coming from exactly... oo you just see smoke?

i double checked for that and I found nothing.. I wouldn't have posted this if I knew I spilt oil

maybe you poped a seal or a gasket... thats as far as i can say.... other than that it seems unusual for that to happen..!!!

Synthetic oil isn't as thick as conventional. I noticed on my tsi awd that with synthetic i had oil pressure that wasnt high enough for my liking. I switched back to conventional and it went up a little bit. My guess is that you either spilled oil on something that gets hot (like the exhaust) or you have an oil leak somewhere. A good friend of mine that also has a TSI AWD suggests only using synthetic for new motors. I say switch back to conventional.

yea you should try to switching back to conventional oil.... i always use mobil1..... or castrol...!!

It had to start sometime

sound like you have a leak, could be the valve cover or head gasket. and maybe your oil pan gasket? it maybe that then you pull hard you pressurize your block just enuff to push oil though the seals.
