Well let me start off by saying that last sunday was very eventfull for me. I came across a deal on a 1g awd for $200 with a spun bearing. The same night I was driving around in my 2g and and my friend and I decided to go driving around in the mountains. Well I went around a corner too fast and wrecked my prized 2g.
So now What I want to do is pull my built 7 bolt and freshly rebuild awd 2g tranny and drop them both in the 1g. Now I know the 1g has 3 motor mounts, 1 tranny mount while the 2g has 3 tranny mounts and 1 motor mount. There is no place to put the radiator side mount in the 2g 7 bolt like the 1g motor has. But it looks like the back off the block (firewall side) has 2 threaded holes for something like a mount. I just want to know if anyone else has tried to do this swap and what you had to do to get the front and back rollstop mounts to work.

any engine can walk the crank. My current 6-bolt had thrust bearing failure. As long as the crank doesn't come in contact with the block then you can put new bearings and either machine the crank or get a new crank to fix the problem.
