2g maf plug question

Ok so all I have is a cut off 2g Maf plug. I never had a 1g plug because my car came with the maf translater. I am switching to the 2g maf. can i solder the 2g plug wires straight into the 1g wires? I didnt want to buy an adapter harness.

Yes just connect them together. Make sure you get a diagram though.
