2g maf on 1g/255lph/stock injectors & fpr

I know about needing a fpr when using anything above a 190 pump but I will be using a 255 with the stock fpr for a few months. My question is with the 255 and stock injectors, will there be any tuning issues using a 2g maf? I am going to tune with a safc2, and yes I have a datalogger. Would the issues be existent with a 1g maf either way? I'm going to stay with my 14b for a while until I upgrade to 650's, dsmlink and a 50 trim turbo.

On a sidenote would a 2g maf affect smog testing in California? Do fuel pumps change emmisions as long the fuel is tuned?

dude if this was my ride\... dont do the fuel pump until you get a "good" (aeromotive) afpr , from my experience make sure that the 2g maf has the honey combs in it made a huge difference on my ride but not everybodys car behave te same , whats the big deal with the bigger fuel pump right now and do a half ass job tunnig for a " while" if ## sticking with everything else stock wait for your "dsm link" dont even hook up the safc save your time and get rid off all your leaks, rewire your fuel pump ?might help if there is such a big fuel delivering demand till you get your stuff together
 
Well, it might be a while before I get all of that stuff. I am going to run the 14b pretty hard so I'll need more then a re wire. I shoud have gotten a 190...maybe I will trade someone straight up for one.

Just go ahead and invest in a FPR . for your future goals you will need it. I would do that so you dont have to change it again in the future. Just my .01

I have one kinda like this it was like 50-60 bucks or so. But it is 1:1 just like the factory and I havent had a problem yet.
 
I ve been using a rewired 255 with no fpr, 660s, maf2g, safc, datalogger with absoluetly no trouble so far in my 1g
well, no fpr problems
And rewiring a 2g maf on a 1g is fairly easy.
I did it from the vfaq and it all went well
I tapped the 2g plug on the harness and I can easily switch back if I want to

And you will only need a datalogger along with that afc if you re using injectors up to 720cc I think
I have Densos and never had any problems so far with them it might be different with other brands
