Alright I got a question to ask you DSM gurus. Why is it that it is recomemded to get bigger injectors when upgrading to a 2g maf? I know there's about a 30% increase in flow and you have to add more fuel. But the 2g uses 450's also, but with higher base fuel psi. So why is it harder to tune with stock injectors on a 1g? Lets say if I switch to a N/A fpr and bump up my pressure will I be able to tune it easier? Some good info will be highly appreciated. :thumb:

If you get 550's you don't have to worry about tuning. If you are going to have a 2g maf, safc/dsmlink, and fpr you might as well get larger injectors otherwise your going to overrun your 450's.

I'm fully aware of that, but my question wasnt really answered. :( Its just that 2g uses the same injectors as the 1g so why is it much harder for it to be tuned without upgrading the injectors. It should just be a direct swap and it should work. The only thing I could see is how its setup with the 2g ecu.

The fuel map is a little different in a 2g. So your computers map is set up for the 1g and the 2g will allow more air to flow changing your A/F ratio. You will need injectors and you still may need some tuning even with 550's. Some cars are ok while others are not. I took my injectors and 2g maf out because it made my car run real rough and rich
