2g intake manifold the same as in 2g spyder?

I would like to buy a helix body throttle spacer. My idea is to get one for 99 spyder 2.4. Will it fit on my 99 GS? or the size of intake manifold is different in the spyder than in mine GS?

I'm trying to figure out if the body throttle spacer will work/fit on my 99 GS.

I think the bolt pattern is completely different on the 420A than the 4g64 but don't quote me on that. Is there any particular reason why you don't just get one for your motor?

Well, I looked on ebay and found just OBX TBS that is for my motor. However, I heard that Helix is better and sounds nice, but I found it only for 2.4 spyder or SOHC.

The whole spiral flow thing isn't really helpful with FI applications, and I'm doubtful that the slight increase in plenum area will be noticeable.

And without having actually seen one for the 420a - I'd go out on a limb and say that the spirally part of the spacer would likely just add restriction. (small TB's are noisier than larger TB's)

The TB on a 4g63/4 has a completely different flange than for a 420a.

I'm not sure what to do. I found one helix TBS for my GS, maybe I will give it a shot and let you guys know if its worth it.

Well From Experience Thay Are Not Worth What You Pay For Them.. I Have The Obx Tbs On My 96 Gs And I Cant Tell Any Difference At All.. But I Also Have The Obx Oversize Intake Manifold With The 57 Mm Tb So Dont Know If That Would Make In Difference Or Not

But It Was The Last Bolt On So I Would Think I Would Have Noticed Any Change

I mean the bigger the opening the more air that goes through the engine, giving you a little bit more power but you can just bore out the intake and do the same thing.

I wouldn't mess around with a tb spacer. There is one you can get that goes between the head and the IM that is suppose to lower the temp of the IM which would result in more power.
