After looking for this picture on DSMTuners, DSMSource and DSMTalk for about an hour, I finally found this picture.

Yeah yeah - call me lazy, I didn't want to take a flashlight and do it myself. :p

Hope it helps someone.

There's also a "secret" one for the foglights, but for god's sake, don't tell anyone:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173534
because it's secret.
There's another one next to it, but the people who know what it's for have all been killed. Because they couldn't keep a simple, easy, goddamned secret. But I guess they've learned their lesson, haven't they?

We already done mangos, too. In syrup.

While you're in there, take out the goddamned blinding HIGH BEAMS bulb, throw it over the neighbor's fence, and replace it with the one from the seatbelt indicator. It's smaller, but it fits just fine. Most people can use the windshield for a high beam indicator. It's why we turned on the goddamned high beams in the first place.
If you need a bulb to tell you your seatbelt's on, get the eff out and walk.

What type of bulbs do I buy for replacements, the autozone dude gave me the wrong size.

Also are their differenet color bulbs, like a darker red?

is there a plug and play led? I don't wanna mess with a lot of wires. If so can you find the specific product on that site for me?

http://www.superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html (scroll down to instrument cluster and gauge backlights)

Also, do some research on Leds and hotspots that the cause. I plan to have red leds for the needles with reverse glow blue face gauges from www.speedhut.com

:O
I love you...

Seriously, thanks for that help. It made life a little easier today.
Also, they say you have a light in your ashtray...Does that come standard in every dsm? Because I don't have one..

You are welcome!

As for the ashtray light - I think it is standard. Your light may be burned out. Get an extra #74 bulb and replace it.

So you just need 4 of whatever color you chose basically? One of my tach lights is out and it would be nice to go ahead and replace them all with LEDs. How did it turno out for you?

7 of the bulbs, not 4. I haven't go my bulbs yet.

Update - the bulbs are too long, they don't fit under the white plastic. I'm going to try to do something with my dremel. and see if I can get red light under the needles and the odometer.

I dremeled out some of the plastic that the bulbs were touching. Here's a tip - use the highest RPM setting (I used 20,000 RPMs) on your dremel and a sanding tube. It looks good, except the hot spots behind the gauges which I'll be covering up with some reverse glow face gauges. It worked! I'm happy. :)

Does the air conditioner knobs use the same bulbs as the instrument cluster?

Sorry for double reply.. You said you bought the longer T1.5 or whatever bulbs.. why didnt you just buy the ones right under that that say shorter version of the T1.5.. they are Bsomethin.. from your experience with the longer ones, do you think the shorter ones would work?

The B8.3D are smaller bulbs but the base won't fit on our cars, so no the shorter ones won't work. You can compare the sizes here - http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/74_t15.htm

Yes, the A/C knobs uses the same bulb (one bulb), I'm not sure if the taller bulb will fit, but it was a pain in the butt to take the stock bulb out.

Thanks, completely answered my questions.

Which bulb are you replacing to illuminate the needles?

The ones under the speedometer (3 bulbs), tachometer (2 bulbs), fuel/coolant gauge (2 bulbs) and boost/oil gauge (1 bulb).

Can someone post a pic of a stock bulb from the instrument cluster?
I found these on ebay and they dont look as tall as the others
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-BL...018QQitemZ280136114030QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Think they would work without the dremelling work needed?

You won't really know if it will fit unless you get the bulb and see if it fits in the cluster. You only need to dremel the plastic under the oil/boost and speedometer bulbs, so out of 7 bulbs, you only need to dremel the plastic under 3 of them.

If you don't want to dremel, you can get colored non-led bulbs like the ones above, but they might fade and change color after a few days/weeks.

Non-led #74 bulbs - http://autolumination.com/74.htm
