Resolved 2G Installing fuel pressure solenoid

Solution
It's easy... It's attached to the fuel pressure regulator and intake manifold via vacuum hoses and it's plugged in with a connector. Just unplug the connector, unhook the vacuum lines, and then just reconnect everything back to the new solenoid.:)

Alright, cool! It's pretty easy to change. Just look for the vacuum line coming off the fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail and follow it to the fuel pressure solenoid. I live 15min from Canton and work in North Canton, so if you have any other problems or questions feel free to PM me and I can lend a hand if need be.

If the lines are too tight and there's slack (there should be) just cut them. While you're there add small zip ties on them to keep them from blowing off the fps.

Lol I just went and got the fps. $64 for this tiny ass thing LOL wow. Well im going to go put it in now

Ok I got hoses etc off but I cant get the old fps off the mount... :/

Nvm I just un did the mount and knocked it out with a rubber mallet

Well all done now time for the moment of truth

It started. Haha. But whys my cel on still?

I have the same issue. I was trying to order a Fuel Pressure Solenoid from Mitsubishi dealers but it seems like they don't carry those any more. Could you guys show me where to go get one please? Thank you.

Its called something else at Mitsubishi. I cant remember what they caled it when I ordered mine a few months back but they dont call it A fuel pressure solenoid... I think its call an evap pressure solenoid. Just take the part in to them and show them. They have diagrams for it. Mine even printed a paper with the entire engine bay electrical setup up on it in exploded form. I cant find the paper for it or I'd post the exact name its called

I have a quick question. My check engine light is on and its for the fuel pressure solenoid. I checked it out and it looks ok but I noticed there's grease on the electrical connector. Is that supposed to be there or is it something that could cause issues? It almost looks like brake caliper pin grease

I have the same problem with my 97 Spyder Gst. On day the light came up and when I checked it it showed the P1105 code. However, I did not replace anything and just disconnected the battery to erase the code and see if it came up. Now, it came up again and I replaced the fuel pressure regulator thinking that was the problem because the FPS looks ok. My car seems like misfiring when I am starting to get up to speed and when I start boosting it sputters very bad. Sometimes when I start it, the engine vibrates and seems like one of the cylinders is not firing properly, but as soon as I step a litle on the gas it goes back to normal and evens.

I am replacing the solenoid as soon as I can find one locally or I will order one. Any Ideas where I can get one locally? Autozone, advance and pepboys dont carry them.

Any other things that might be causing the car to act like this?
