I have a 97 GST bone stock with an intake and the vehicle has a CEL on. I ran the scanner on it and it shot a P1105 code which is a Fuel Pressure Solenoid Code. Car runs fine but will sometimes die if I get on it a little bit, shut it off, leave it off for only a few minutes, and try to start it back up. If it dies, I've left it sit for a couple minutes and it starts fine. I was wondering if anyone has had this same problem or what tests I should start doing before I go buy a bunch of parts. I've talked to many parts stores and they seem to know nothing about solenoids.

Look at your fuel rail. Then trace it to the end of it (driver's side). There should be a small BOV looking thing bolted to the end of your fuel rail. With this, a vacuum line should extend up to a black plastic looking piece alongside your firewall. That is your fuel pressure solenoid. Try cleaning out the connection with some electric cleaner first and then reset your ECU. If not, your FPS will need to be replaced.
