ok i have a 420a and am having problems. i am taking apart my motor to check the hg and stuff. i have the vc the cams and gears, lifters and exhaust manifold off. i have unpluged all the sensors that i can see aswell as the egr and all vaccume lines. i can't get the stupid head to come off. i can rock it a little but it seems to be attached in the back by the intake mani. how do i get the head off so i can replace the head gasket and look at the top of the pistons.

If you have taken out the head bolts/studs and it is still catching some where a good place to look would be get under your car and look under the intake mani, I beleive the intake mani will have a bracket that comes down and actually bolts to the block. once you take that off and double check that all bolts that hold the head to the block are out you can try to take a flat head screw driver and wedge it between the two to see if it breaks them apart.

Let me know if this solves your problem or you have any other questions.
Eric
