does the 95-96 eclipse gsx tranny fit perfectly on the 97-99 eclipse gsx or no? 2 diff trannies? also does anyone know were i could find a decently priced tranny anywere with warranty preferably...thanks!!

if you want to run a 95-96 trans you will need a 95-96 transfercase or you will need to swap the front differential ring gear with a 97-99 front differential ring gear.

Bite the bullet and get it rebuilt. It'll be better than factory. Depending on how much damage you've done, you can look at around 800-1700 dollars worth of damage.

I thought you could use any 91(92?)-96 t-case...

Is there a comprehensinve list anywhere of what are the differences between years and what combinations work? Trannies, t-cases, axles, rear-ends.

you can use any 91-96 5-speed t-case.

I use the mitsubishi caps program for part compatibility
