I'm curious to know this as well. Would you have to change anything with the Cam Angle Sensor wiring when switching from 95 to 98?

i think there might be something wrong with my ECU.my friend has a 98 gsx and i have a 99 gst and i was going to use his to see if my car will start

You do not need to change the wiring. At the ignition coil, connect plug wires from cylinders 1 and 4 into the coil for 2 and 3. Connect the plug wires from cylinders 2 and 3 into the coil for 1 and 4. IIRC, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You will not have to do anything then. Just swap his ECU in your car and you will be able to tell if your ECU is good/bad or if it is something else.

Is your CEL coming on when you turn the key to the ON position and is the boost gauge moving up to 0 and falling back down?

yea but my cam sensor is only getting 3.5 volts and its supposed to get 12 volts. so figured its could be the ecu.

Has the wiring been messed with at all? The cam sensor may be shot also but try the ECU and post back.

To be safe try your ECU in his car. If you have a wiring fault you don't want to have to buy him a new ECU also.
