2g engine swap help, need help badly...

The motor on my '96 Eclipse GS kicked the bucket yesterday. I was wondering if I could put the 4G63T from the '96 GSX in to replace it? Or is there a better engine I could get or will I have to get the same 420A engine?

same 420a engine but you could always make it turbo ready before you put it in. That's if you want a turbo.

There are a million post on this one most telling you to get a GST GSX, Theres nothing wrong with swapping but its pretty hard to do not to mention exspensive. if I were you I would put a 420a back in and sell it or turbo it (I did both) but if you really want the headach of swapping do a 4g63t into a 2gnt search.

Its been said many times that getting the 4g63t into the gs model is more work/hassle then most would want to deal with. I recomend either rebuild your motor, or take a look at howell automotive they sell solid 420a crate motors. Alright, I'll probably replace it with a 420A engine and turbo that. Can any suggest a turbo kit for me, please? I don't know much about turbos.

Have you looked on the 2gnt.com forums yet? If not go check them out for all the info you'll need to turbo your 420a.

So, it'll cost me about $2,300 and will I need any other parts after the Stage I Kit?

If you plan on keeping it that way no you shouldn't need anything else, But why on earth would you do that
