Started up my 2G today and noticed the engine fan turned on and stays on until I turn off the car ,what can be causing this?

Do you have ecmlink? There's a way to make fans always on high thru ecmlink. Or someone put a jumper wire in the relay to keep them always on. Or maybe your relay is messed up. Or possible the coolant temp switch that tells the ecu when to turn the fans on and off is stuck.

Best answer, some one hot wired the fans to run off of and accessory power source because the car was over heating, or the relay or fuse was popping for the fan because of an electrical short in the line

Since it is an iron block it does take a little longer to reach operating temperature, so the fans should be off for the first five minutes or so when you start the car.

Well easy test is turn the car on without your fan relay, if the fan does not turn on there you go.
