420A 2G 420a Left Turn Signal Stays On All The Time - Can't Signal Right or Turn Off Left

So I was driving home today and I had to make a left turn, after I made that left turn I went to turn off my left turn signal but it wouldn't turn off.

I tried turning on the right turn signal, but that one wouldn't come on.

I just start the car, and the left turn signal stays on no matter what.

It's flashing faster than it should, maybe a wire shorted somewhere? Will need to prod around the wiring and do some testing to find where the problem lies.

Could be a bad flasher or bulb/wire shorting. So is the lever physically stuck on left turn?

Yes I noticed that it's flashing quicker than normal.

When I turn on the hazard lights though, they both work properly.

Where do you recommend I start checking the wiring at?

No it's not physically stuck, I can turn it left, center, right. It's just that the left flasher keeps flashing.

UPDATE: If I turn on the hazard lights, they both flash properly (and in the correct speed)

Check the flasher it's probably stuck. There is a seperate flasher for the turn signals and hazards. I think they are the same part so you could swap them and see if it changes anything.

How would I go about checking the flasher? It seems to move from left to right just fine. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

The flasher is what controls the turn signals and makes them flash. It's seperate from the actual lever. Should be under the dash let me check hold on.

I had the same issue with mine, ended up being the switch. I would try checking your local junk yard for a switch to swap out, good luck and hope this helps.
