2G Engine died.

Ok, so I just got the car out, took it for a few drives over the last few days, and it has ran just fine. Well today I drove it over to my buddies shop so i could show him some of the stuff i have done to it. Well, When I went to leave I started the car like normal and it started right up. Well after like 3-5 seconds it shut off. So I started it again. Well it did it again.WTF I played the start the car and let the car die game about 3 more times. then i finally tried to start it and hit the gas alittle. Well It started right back up, reved to about 3k and hesitated to rev more for a sec and then went up to about 5k then i let off. Well it stayed running this time. So i backed out and proceeded home. well as I pulled out of the parking lot the check engine light came on and i noticed that it was idleing at about 1500 rmp which is alittle high, right?

Does anyone know what the deal is, hopefully its something little.

I have a new pcv valve, K&N air filter, new cooling system (everything but the waterpump) and oil catch can. Would any of this have something to do with this?

i would try cleaning your throttle body and isc port .

Ok, it did it again today. the first start up of the day was just fine. no issue at all. I drove it like 4 miles up the road and shut it off and whn i went to leave it started really funny, and died, i tried a few more time and it kept starting funny. Then one time i tried to start it it felt like the motor was trying to jump out of the hood. so i waited a few minutes and then tried again and it fired right up with no issue. WTF is going on?

I did notice a very small crack in my ex mani tho. would that be a good culprit?

I wonder if your coolant temperature sensor is going out.

Any suggestions would be super. I have a week to figure it out and get it fixed, I want to get the car down to TN for the Meet on Deals Gap

Would the coolant temp sen. make it die when right after starting it? The Check engine light came on but the dude at Auto Zone said he couldent get his hand held to work.

Any suggestions?
