London,
Im looking around and noticed the 2g 3" down pipes on ebay are sooooo much cheaper then 1gs (like double or triple the price) so my question is whats the difference? could i use a 2g with some modifications, do you guys have pics of what ya dd to make it fit? p.s. my dad is a welder and has mig and arc but not tig :( so if i need to weld something it shouldent be too bad
thanks guys
Brad :)

if you have a welder, why don't you just make your own?

if you're dad has a mig welder then why not just make a downpipe?

there are differences between the 1g and 2g, but I do not not if AWDer's have found a way to make them interchangeable (I doubt it).

making you a downpipe will cost you about 60 to make yourself.. it's not terribly hard on an AWD

its not hard to make but its a hassel to go 40 mins away to get it mandrel bended and then weld the peices together then if something is wrong gotta go back this way if its already put together i can just cut if i need to then weld i donno maybe i will do it my self i have the oem so i dont think itll be too hard i guess ill trial and error it :)

we made a downpipe on my buddies gsx and it is very cheap and not hard to do at all by yourself. i would stick with that route for sure.

RRE sells the specific bend you need from the turbo to the bottom of the car, which i think is a 72 degree angle. anyways, you can piece it together first, then when you have time, do it on a weekend and start cutting/welding. if you need pictures of its general shape (bends and what not) i have some pictures, and im sure some others can post some pictures of there setup too. Mine is also a custom dp, with a flex pipe welded in too.

If it is the kind that I bought, they are super cheap because they don't fit. You have to modify them before it works. Just an FYI.

There are pictures of it if you scroll down on this page.
