2g Door Handle

So i was getting into my car and my door handle stayed stuck up. I can get it to go back down by pulling it out and pushing down but i cant open the door from the outside only the inside. Any thoughts on how to do this? i tried searching but all the threads are for broken off door handles.

I would take your door panel off and check the rods. There are 2 of them that connect to the door handle. Maybe 1 of them is sticking or it came loose. So even when u get the door handle to go back down u still can't open it from the outside?

Well, clearly something is broken. Just take off the interior door panel and take a look.

correct. i took it off but its hard to see how it all works.

I see one rod that comes from the door handle and runs in to that plastic clip. I just dont understand how it all works and what i can do to them.

There should be 2 of them one is for the lock/unlock and the other is for opening the door.

I would keep two spares just in case, they break real easy.

where can i buy a new handle or repair kit? Also, it seems like i should be able to fix it, nothing seems to be broken. I see one rod just barely move but not enough to open the door from the outside.

Hey this same thing happened to me. Your door handle is broke.

They don't make those metal replacements anymore but there are still the pics. Also, when mine broke I followed a write-up from this site. Look around and be patient. It is hard to get at and my hands aren't even that big.

You must be able to find them somewhere. One of my friends just bought a kit exactly like that within the past year, but I have no idea where he got it from, I'll have to ask him.
