2g cams upgrade for 1g?

Ive searched but its the other way around.

Noob question...
If i put a pair of 2g 95 tsi cams in my 90 tsi, would that be an upgrade?

From what I have read the difference is very miniscule but 2g cams actually have less lift than 1g cams.

1G turbo cams are an upgrade for the 2G, so I would say that installing 2G cams in your 1G would not be considered an upgrade

Either way I'd probably just buy a set of hotter aftermarket cams and call it a day

So who knows how 2G M/T cams compare to 1G A/T cams?

Its definately a good question for the guy that has them laying around and can do the swap for free. Im curious myself on whether or not the 2g cams are better than the 1g auto cams.
