This question is to all the AWD people that have hotwired their fuel pump. I was going off the guide on vfaq but things are pretty different once you get back into the pump housing.
Could someone please elaborate on what wires I need to splice and also how do you get the stupid plug off of the fuel pump, I tried for like 5 minutes and the stupid thing wouldn't budge. Pictures would be greatly apreciated if any of you have some laying around of your rewire.

Ya, but there is a guide up on the vfaq for your car, there isn't one for a 2g AWD. Anyway, i am getting a new pump on tuesday so I have to get the plug off sometime soon anyway. really would like it if someone could post up a pic of what wires they spliced and maby even where the ground point they used was.

on mine it was a little harder aswell. you can use a flat head for more pressure. when you cut the wire in half that is specified in VFAQ, the wire that is left going to the fuel pump is the output wire on the relay and the wire going to the engine is the input wire on the relay. your 10gauge wire is going to your battery with a 30 amp fuse at the most 6 inchs away from battery that is the power source for your relay. when grounding scrap a dime size area of paint to expose raw metal with a flat head for a better ground. use a screw 1/4 inch at the most and pierce scraped area. so nothing is punctured check clearence under sheet metal before tapping into metal for ground. anymore questions PM me.

I understand how it is supposed to work, I ran a wire from the battery back to the pump housing the problem is that the plug that goes to the pump has like six wires going into it as opposed to the two wires found on a spyder. I need to know which one will be flowing current and which one is for ground.

Cut the black wire with the blue stripe and connect the new larger wire to the wire running into the fuel tank. Tape up and protect the unused old wire or use it to trigger the relay.
as i stated earlier you make your own ground on the surrounding sheet metal around the fuel pump housing

for a ground for the relay i just spliced into the factory ground for the fuel pump. Both wires are going the same way (negative term on the bat.) plus the relay barely takes any current. CYA!
