2G 2G Alternator. Which ones to avoid?

Looking to buy a reman alt for a 2G.

I've heard some horror stories with AutoZone alts.

Which reman brands should I avoid?
What are the good ones?

Is there any benefit to a Galant alt? There's some conflicting info regarding this.

Good alt brands: Denso, Bosch, AC Delco, Mitsubishi, Matsu, Komatsu, Hitachi.
Best place to get an alt (whether new or rebuilt) is an alternator/starter repair shop. Worst place is an autostore (especially AZ) - (what good is the autostore lifetime warranty when it keeps failing and you have to do the replacing, especially when it's usually in the middle of nowhere?).
The Galant benefit is it is a 90 amp and a direct bolt on. They come on Canadian DSM's due to daytime running lights law.
