2G Alarm going off...annoying

ok so i locked my car about 20 mins before, went and burnt a CD, went back out to see if it worked in my Pioneer, and i opened the door and the alarm went off... i disconnected the battery to turn it off. inserting the key in the ignition doesn't turn it off.. what does? i dont want this to be happening all the time and i dont have the remote for it... i just got the car today.. its a 1998 Eclipse Spyder Convertible

If you plan on keeping this vehicle just buy a factory service manual. I bought a used one on ebay for $25 shipped. It is one book about repairs and one book about wiring. They stack up to like 5 inches tall, 1000's of pages. Take a weekend to read it over sitting in your car and be amazed at your new understanding.

i could get a pdf off of TPB but that would take too long to print.

Behind your rear seats is your Alarm System, there is the Main Box and the Relay, Unhook the relay or the Main Box and see what happens.

Seems like we have another one who will never learn no matter how much we help him. Yall realize this guy has like 3 threads running about the same damn thing that a chiltons manual and a few minutes of reading could solve?

Also how long is too long? Seems like you haven't been able to use your car for 2 days. I can print a lot of paper in 2 days.

Just wanted to share a small peice of information that ended up being the fix for my random alarm when I opened the door -- the hood switch next to the drivers side headlight if unplugged / went bad it will make your alarm come on with the alarm fuse pulled. The fuse will stop the horn but you can still here the relay clicking. This may not be the fix for the O.P but it was my fix so I hope this will help someone.
